Michael A. Ricci is Vice President, Intel Communications Group, and Director, Business Development. Previously, Ricci was responsible for managing Intel's access and optical communications business segments within the Intel Communications Group. These segments are targeted at providing complete silicon-based solutions for copper access data communications and optical networking, respectively.
Ricci joined Intel in 1999 as a General Manager of the Telecom Components Division, subsequent to Intel's acquisition of Level One Communications. In this role, he helped shape the scope and direction of Intel's telecom organization. He joined Level One in 1997.
Previously, Ricci worked at Advanced Micro Devices in a variety of areas, including communications products, telecom products, and wireless communications.
Ricci received his bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Stanford University.

Prof. Dr. Ping Zhang is a full professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) as well as the director of Wireless technology innovation Labs (WTI), BUPT, and also serves as a member of China 3G Group, China 863 FuTURE project, Technical Group of China 3G (C3G) Mobile Comm. R&D Project, Expert Group of China 3G Mobile Comm. Technology Tests, Expert Consultation Group of Mobile and Satellite Comm. of MII, China and advisor of Chinese Wireless Technology Standardization (CWTS) Group and advisor of NTT DoCoMo Research and Development (R&D) Advisory Board, and a vision committee member of WWRF. Prof. Zhang has been invited as the TPC member of a series of international conference, such as PIMRC and VTC etc.
Prof. Zhang is famous for his outstanding contribution for the world wireless communication and his research interest mainly focus on the research of mobile communications, especially in physical layer techniques. As project leader or principal investigator, Prof. Zhang has taken on many important projects including governmental projects and companies projects, such as 863 key project ¡°Research and development on the third generation mobile communication systems¡±, and Natural Science Foundation of China ¡°System, theory and applications in the next generation wireless multimedia networks¡±, and projects with Siemens, Ericsson and ETRI etc. These projects involved not only development on engineering, but also a lot of researches on fundamental theories.
As an author or co-author, Prof. Zhang has published more than 170 papers in international and domestic journals and international academic conference, 2 books, and owned 18 patents.
Due to these great achievements, Prof. Zhang has obtained many honors and awards from Chinese government and Educational Ministry, and is one of the few professors that enjoy Government Special Allowance in China.

Jeff Ravencraft is a technology strategist in the Communications Technology Lab, part of Intel's Corporate Technology Group.
