Dr.Thaweesak Koanantakool

Dr. Thaweesak Koanantakool is the Director of National Electronics and Computer Technology Center(NECTEC) to lead the national body for R&D programs in IT. He received his Bachelor and Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London University, UK in 1975and 1980.
In 1981 Dr. Thaweesak joined Prince of Songkla University to teach Electrical Engineering. Later, in 1983,he joined Thammasat University as the Associate Director of the Information Processing titute for Education and Development teching MIS.
Since 1994, he became a Deputy Director of NECTEC with a mission to lead the Network/Software
Technology laboratories. The Network lab pioneered the Internet in Thailand by developing the largest academic and research network know as ThaiSarn. In 1995, he co-founded the first Internet service provider, Internet Thailand Company Limited the largest ISP in Thailand.
During 1996-1997, Dr. Thaweesak led SchoolNet Thailand Program and the Information Superhighway testbed project at NECTEC. SchoolNet if the backbone of the school informatization program which provides free Internet access across the Kingdom since 1997.
Dr. Thaweesak was appointed as the Director of NECTEC for the first time during July 1998 June 2002 and re-appointed in October 2002 until present. He also served as the Executive Secretary of the country's IT planning body namely the National Information Technology Committee taking the major role in completion of the Natiomal ICT Master Plan (2002-2006)
Dr. Thaweesak was bestowed the royal decorations twice by His Majesty the King. In May 2004, he received The Knight Commander of the Most Illustrious Order of Chula Chom Klao.
Thaweesak published more than 12 books and 150 papers and articles (in Thai and English).

Neil Trevett joined NVIDIA in May of 2005. As Vice President of Embedded Content, he is responsible for enabling and encouraging compelling applications on non-PC platforms, including the GoForce line of wireless media processors. Prior to joining NVIDIA, Mr. Trevett has spent over twenty years in the 3D graphics industry including Vice President positions at 3Dlabs. Mr. Trevett is currently the elected President of both the Web3D Consortium and the Khronos Group where Mr. Trevett created and chairs the OpenGL ES working group that has defined the industry standard for 3D graphics on embedded devices - including cell phones.
Mr. Trevett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
