Advanced 3D mobile development brings new opportunities and challenges.
Game developers face larger projects and more complicated technologies, while
carriers must embrace new distribution and revenue models.
This lecture will review current and emerging mobile 3D technologies, discuss
many of the issues faced by 3D developers today and discuss how hardware acceleration
can provide a solution for many of these obstacles.
Demonstrations will be shown using Java (M3G) and OpenGL ES on production and

The Khronos Group is enabling advanced media processing on cell phones and other
embedded devices by creating royalty-free media processing API standards.
These open standards cover 2D and 3D graphics, video, imaging and audio processing
and are helping hundreds of millions of low-cost devices to evolve the media capabilities
of PCs of just a few years ago.
This presentation will provide an insight into the rapidly forming ecosystem for
embedded media processing including the market drivers, the role of the Khronos
Group and the key features and roadmaps of the OpenGL ES, OpenVG and OpenMAX APIs.
